Upon the prisoners arrival, the Nazis searched for twins, dwarves or anyone who was physically unique. Some people gave their twins up hoping that they would be safer but others tried to hide them. Children born there were killed on the spot. Dr. Carl Clauberg and Dr. Josef Mengele were the onces who conducted the experiments. They were trying to make a perfect race. Joseph Mengele was one of the most notorious "doctors" at the Auschwitz concentration camp. He he she studied the phenomena of twins, as well as the physiology and pathology of dwarfism. Mengele subjected pairs of twins and people wtih physical handicaps to medical examinations. Prisoners were also subjected to unwillingly trying drugs, and new medications.
